A friend of mine mentioned to me that I have not shared any of the details of the the house, so I thought I would. I have posted the layout of the house, but in these pictures it is backwards. So just imagine it flipped.

Two-story home in the East Lake community of Daybreak
Total Sq ft 3120
Finished Sq ft 2017
3 bdr
2.5 bath

This is the basement. The future family room is actually Jared's future man cave! The future bedroom and storage room right next to it will actually be my future craft room. We asked them not to put a wall between the two, which makes my craft room pretty big!! I am going to be in Heaven!!

Main floor. Our porch actually spans the entire front of the house. The living room we will be using as an office.
Upper. The master bedroom is obviously ours. Bedroom 2 is Grayson's, it is a little smaller than Grant's and has a smaller closet. Bedroom 3 is Grant's room, he loves the big windows right in the front of the house and the big closet. And their bathroom is right between their rooms.

Little details

It is really getting down to the wire. There is not a whole lot left to do. So here are some of the little details they have been working on getting done.
Counter tops and hardware in the bathrooms

All the electrical and lighting is done. This is in the dining room

This is in the entry way.

They have the hardware on the cabinets.

All the paint is done. This is one of my fave parts of the house!

We have got door knobs, which means that soon we will be locked out. The door will not be white, it just isnt painted yet.

We have an address!!

All the trim is done and we now have rain gutters as well!

We talked to the superintendent and he said we should have our granite by tomorrow or Friday.

When we went to look at the house tonight it was almost completely dark by the time we got out there. It was pretty funny. Jared and I were walking around with flashlights. These pictures were taken in the dark and we have not seen the color of the cabinets in the daylight yet. We plan on going out earlier tomorrow, so we can see them!
Here they are! I do like them a bit better now that they are installed, but I am still upset that they are not black. I love the beadboard and I am super excited to have more cupboard space.

The mantel matches. Jared is so in love with it!

I think it looks pretty good with the tile.

This is the master bathroom

In some of these pictures the cabinets look like they have a red tint to them. I really hope they dont in the day light.

This is Grant's room!

Cant see it very well but this is Gray's room.

Not a great picture, but a different angle.

Our "trash drawer"

I love the slots above the fridge!!

Next comes the granite countertops, lighting, and carpet!!!

Moving along

In this picture you can see they have got the trim on the house done. We have now got front stairs leading up to the porch. And they are going to start working on the rain gutters.

Here is the house from the back. If you have never built a house before and gone through the process of picking all the colors, let me tell you it is hard stuff. With that being said, the color of the stucco has grown on me, but I DO NOT like the color of the trim. Notice that there is no difference between the stucco and the trim. I thought that the trim would be a little bit lighter, so that there would be a contrast. On a side note, Jared loves it!

They have painted all the walls and just need to finnish the trim work, like the door frames and base boards. I do really like the color of the walls!

And they delivered our cabinets!!!

Here they are. And while we are being honest.... I am not in love with them! I will forever regret letting Jared talk me out of doing black cabinets. I wanted black back in March when we chose everything and I want black now. I am mad, but there is nothing I can do about it now, so I am going to suck it up and live with it. On a side note, Jared loves them!

YAY! The tile is done and we really love it! This is the master bath..

With separate shower!

Kitchen/dining area

Fireplace

Oh, and this is the next door neighbors house.
I HATE THE COLOR!!!
Jared tells me "why do you care? You dont have to live in it."
He is right, but I do have to live next to it. Oh well, nothing I can do about it.

Well here is the tile folks!

We now have stone on the pillars! The stucco is now it's final color. The trim around the windows and door, shingles on the top front, and the top of the pillars are not yet the final color they will be. When we went to look at the house tonight it was getting dark, so I am anxious to see it in the day light. The stucco looks a little bit dark, but it is probably just the lighting. We really LOVE the stone on the pillars though. And I think tiling inside is the next step!

We have stucco! This is not the color it will be. This is only the first coat
 The pillars will be stone.
It is really getting exciting! And we need to get packing!

Sheetrock and stucco

Slowly but surely it is coming along. They have now wrapped it to prepare to apply the stucco, which I am so excited to see go up! And they have started sheetrocking, so we will soon have WALLS!!!
Again blogger hates me... This is the office just off the main living room.
This is a view from the front door looking into the living room and then on into the dining area, where Jared in standing.
I am standing in front of the sliding glass door looking into the kitchen.
